Facilities Assistant – Full-time

BASIC FUNCTIONS: Our Facilities Assistant is a job that you know that you are making a difference in the community. You will be makings sure that babies to elementary school kids and the adults that take care of them and the staff that work at La Casa de Esperanza have a well kept & clean place to learn and work.

REPORTS TO: Director of Operations

FLSA: Non-Exempt

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

The Facilities Assistant is a job that you will always have something to do and that you can take great pride in making sure that everything is in good repair, clean and neat for all who enter La Casa de Esperanza. You will be part of a team that they are dedicated to make La Casa de Esperanza is a clean and safe place for all who work or enter the building._ Work hours are from 11 am to 8 pm Monday through Friday_.

Job Responsibilities:

• Clean bathrooms including toilet, sinks, mirrors & floors
• Vacuum carpets
• Clean windows
• Mop classrooms, hallways, stairwells & atrium
• Remove garbage from classrooms
• Dust windowsills, some offices & common areas
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor, Director of Operations, or President and CEO

Job Skills Requirements:

• Experience in general repair which can include minor carpentry, plumbing & electrical
• Experience in residential or commercial cleaning
• Ability to work independently and keep on task
• Work well with others
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Education Requirements:

• High School Diploma/GED; or 2-5 years of related experience

Desired Characteristics:

• Bilingual English/Spanish

Job Type: Full-time
