Crew Chief
This position is responsible for directing assigned crew and performing weatherization services within qualified dwellings. The Crew Chief evaluates the scope of work, identifies discrepancies, and verifies that the equipment and materials needed for each job are on hand before departing to the job site. This position records all measures that are performed and creates, verifies, and submits daily reports of time and materials used on each job. This position directs and trains Crew Technicians to ensure that all work is tracked and completed properly and effectively. The Crew Chief must always exhibit excellent communication skills and maintain professionalism when interacting with clients, coworkers, and the community. This position must complete all work in accordance with State of Wisconsin standards and guidelines.Requirements: High School Diploma, GED or equivalent experience required.
The minimum requirement for this job is that the candidate should have at least two years of experience working in a Weatherization Program. Knowledge of the home construction process. Bi-lingual English-
Spanish communication is an asset. The ability to simultaneously keep several projects moving and on target. Knowledge and understanding of building science principles, worker safety regulations (OSHA), home construction, heating systems and weatherization. Must have a valid driver’s license.
