5th Grade Dual Language Teacher

Christian Saldivar is a 5th Grade Dual Language Teacher at La Casa de Esperanza Charter School with over a decade of experience working in education and youth development. Throughout his career, he has served students in elementary, middle, and high school as a classroom teacher, Dean of Students, and youth development professional. Christian earned his Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Master of Public Administration from the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee.

Growing up bilingual in Milwaukee, Christian understands the importance of students seeing their language, culture, and community represented at school. He became an educator because he believes teachers can make a lasting impact on young people’s lives. He chose La Casa because of its commitment to bilingual education, strong families, and celebrating the cultures and experiences students bring into the classroom. His goal is to create a classroom where students feel welcomed, challenged, proud of who they are, and excited to learn.

Outside of school, Christian enjoys traveling, basketball soccer, learning about history and different cultures. He also enjoys spending time with family and friends, and cheering on the Green Bay Packers. Most of all he loves spending time with his one-year-old Boston Terrier, Chato, who brings lots of energy and joy to his family.
