As Director of Grants & Partner Relations, Brian Cooper leads La Casa de Esperanza’s efforts ingrant research and writing, corporate and donor engagement, and the development of strategic partnerships. His work ensures the financial sustainability of programs that support and empower individuals and families in our community.
Brian has been involved in nonprofit leadership since 2016, with previous roles including Director at James Place and Assistant Executive Director at Hope Street Ministry. Before joining La Casa, he also worked as a freelance grant writer and development strategist for several area nonprofits and taught as an adjunct professor at Bryant & Stratton College.
A lifelong Waukesha resident, Brian is deeply connected to La Casa’s mission and values itsholistic, dignity-centered approach to service. He holds a B.A. in English Literature fromWisconsin Lutheran College and an M.A. in Creative Writing from Southern New Hampshire University.
In his free time, Brian is active in leadership at Elmbrook Church and enjoys coaching his kids sports teams.
