Maria Carrillo serves as the Director of Operations at La Casa de Esperanza, overseeing facilities management, including maintenance, cleaning, and food services. With over 13 years of experience at La Casa, she brings a deep understanding of the organization and a strong commitment to supporting its mission by ensuring safe and welcoming spaces for all.
Maria has served in several key roles, including seven years as Enrollment Specialist at La Casa’s Charter School, where she built lasting relationships with families and helped connect them to vital resources. Her work is guided by a passion for empowering underserved communities and ensuring that every person feels seen, supported, and equipped to succeed.
She holds an Associate Degree in Applied Science from Waukesha County Technical College and is currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Leadership at Alverno College.
Outside of work, Maria volunteers with the Christmas Clearing Council, supports Spanish-speaking families, and loves cheering on her daughters at volleyball games and dance competitions. A creative spirit, she enjoys crafting and participating in community events that keep her connected and inspired.
