Alicia Meraz is a HUD-certified Housing Counselor (bilingual in English and Spanish) at La Casa de Esperanza. She is dedicated to helping individuals and families achieve financial stability and access homeownership. Since joining the organization in January 2020, she has developed expertise in financial counseling, tax preparation, and homeownership education. She provides personalized pre- and post-purchase counseling, financial coaching, and group training sessions.
Alicia holds multiple certifications, including HUD Certified Housing Counseling, NACCC Financial Health Counseling™, NeighborWorks America Rental Housing Counseling, and Advanced Tax Certified VITA Site Coordinator. She is passionate about meeting clients where they are and equipping them with the tools and knowledge needed to build a stronger financial future.

Outside of work, she enjoys spending quality time with her friends, family, and her dog Vivi—whether sharing meals, traveling, or relaxing at home.
