Early Childhood Education
La Casa de Esperanza’s Early Childhood Education programs lay the essential groundwork for cognitive, emotional, and social development, setting the stage for lifelong learning and success.

Early Head Start provides early, continuous, intensive, and comprehensive child development and family support services to low-income infants and toddlers and their families, as well as pregnant women and their families.
Early Childhood Education Program
The Early Childhood Education and School Age Center provides high-quality, dual-language services to the local Waukesha community. We understand that each child is an individual with abilities to be strengthened and needs to be met for overall development.

Early Head Start

Early Head Start at La Casa de Esperanza is more than a program—it is the foundation for lifelong learning and family success. We provide early, continuous, and comprehensive child development and family support services beginning as early as pregnancy, continuing through infancy and toddlerhood, until a child’s third birthday. Our dedicated team partners with parents—starting from the prenatal stage—to support every step of growth and development.

Through high-quality, dual-language early education, health and nutrition services, and strong family engagement, we empower parents as their child’s first and most important teachers. Early Head Start ensures that every child receives the nurturing care, stimulating learning environments, and family support they need to thrive, both in school and in life.

Our Program Goals

  • To provide safe and developmentally enriching caregiving that promotes the physical, cognitive, social, and emotional development of infants and toddlers, and prepares them for future growth and development.
  • To support parents, both mothers and fathers, in their role as primary caregivers and teachers of their children, and families in meeting personal goals and achieving self-sufficiency across a wide variety of domains.
  • To mobilize communities to provide the resources and environment necessary to ensure a comprehensive, integrated array of services and support for families.
  • To ensure the provision of high-quality responsive services to families through the development of trained, and caring staff.

As an ECE institution, what does a “five-star” rating mean?

  • Teacher education and training
  • Learning environment and curriculum
  • Provider’s professional and business practices
  • Children’s health and well-being

A five-star rating indicates that we provide the highest quality of care for your children. To learn more, please visit https://dcf.wisconsin.gov/youngstar.

What does it mean to be nationally accredited?

We are nationally accredited through the National Accreditation Commission for Early Care and Education Programs. To achieve accreditation, a program must show evidence of meeting high standards (above and beyond state licensing requirements) in five key program areas:
