Join a School That Truly Values Bilingual Educators
La Casa de Esperanza is a full-service charter school serving students and families in Waukesha and we are growing.
At a time when dual language programs are shifting across the region, we recognize that exceptional bilingual educators are looking for a school that not only needs them, but truly understands and values their work.
If you are passionate about bilingual education and want to teach in a school where language, culture, and identity are at the center, not the margins; this is your opportunity.
Position Overview
The Dual Language Teacher delivers high-quality, standards-aligned instruction in a self-contained elementary classroom, teaching all core subjects (Reading, Writing, Math, Science, and Social Studies) in both English and Spanish.
This role goes beyond instruction—you will play a key part in developing bilingual, biliterate, and culturally grounded students, while working closely with families and a collaborative school team.
What You’ll Do
- Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality lessons in English and Spanish across all subject areas
- Implement a structured dual language model (80/20) to support language development and academic success
- Create a classroom environment rooted in respect, belonging, and high expectations
- Use data to inform instruction and support student growth
- Build strong, consistent communication with families
- Collaborate with colleagues and leadership to strengthen instruction and student outcomes
- Actively contribute to a positive, mission-driven school culture
What We’re Looking For
- Bilingual fluency in Spanish and English (required)
- Valid Wisconsin DPI Teaching License (or ability to obtain)
- Bilingual certification for dual language instruction
- Experience in dual language or bilingual education strongly preferred
- A deep belief in educational equity and culturally responsive teaching
- Strong classroom leadership and relationship-building skills
- A collaborative, flexible, and solutions-oriented mindset
Why La Casa Stands Out
This is where we differentiate—and why teachers choose to stay.
- Small Class Sizes → More meaningful instruction and relationships
- Mission-Driven Work → Serve a community where your language and culture matter
- Collaborative Team Environment → You are supported, not isolated
- Growing Organization → Opportunities for leadership and advancement
- Whole-Child Focus → Academic + social-emotional + cultural development
