Jackie Yurk joined La Casa de Esperanza Charter School in 2024 and serves as the School Counselor for all grade levels, teaching Social Emotional Learning (SEL) and supporting students’ well-being and development. This is her second year as a school counselor, following more than five years of experience as a special education aide in elementary schools. Her time working closely with students inspired her to return to school and pursue a degree in school counseling, with the goal of helping children build strong emotional and social foundations.
Jackie holds a bachelor’s degree in Social Work from the University of Wisconsin–Green Bay, a master’s degree in Social Work from Loyola University Chicago, and a master’s degree in Education in School Counseling from UW–Superior. She is passionate about building meaningful connections with students and enjoys learning from their unique personalities and perspectives.
She loves being part of the La Casa community because of its warm, supportive environment and its shared commitment to putting students first.
