No-Cost Weatherization Services
La Casa de Esperanza’s Weatherization Program is completely free for low-income homeowners and renters in Jefferson, Waukesha, and Milwaukee Counties. While typical households spend 3.5% of annual income on energy, low-income households often spend nearly 14%.
Thanks to the efforts of our Weatherization team, numerous homes have received energy efficiency improvements, helping low-income families reduce energy costs and save money.

Your eligibility depends on the number of people in the home. For the most up-to-date income guidelines, please visit the Weatherization page of the State of Wisconsin, Department of Administration (DOA), Division of Energy, Housing, and Community Resources (DEHCR) website.
Those interested in La Casa’s Weatherization Program must first apply for the Wisconsin Home Energy Assistance Program (WHEAP). In partnership with the Wisconsin DEHCR, this program includes a variety of energy-saving services, such as:
Together, these programs form the Wisconsin Home Energy Plus program. Home Energy Plus gives qualified Wisconsin residents reduced energy use and costs through WHEAP, the Weatherization Assistance Program (WAP), and the furnace and water conservation program offered
through the Home Energy Plus Program Services programs. Available statewide, these offerings are funded by the aforementioned DEHCR.
La Casa de Esperanza supports the Home Energy Plus program through our weatherization services. Households that rent should continue to apply for WHEAP and have their landlord contact La Casa de Esperanza for more information on these programs.
