Once you’ve successfully finished the program, La Casa will provide you with a certificate of completion for those eligible for down payment assistance, including advice from our homebuying team. In homebuyer counseling, you will learn:
Homebuyer education classes (in-person and virtual) designed to prepare you for successful and sustainable homeownership.
A recognized certificate of completion, required for many down payment assistance programs.
One-on-one counseling with certified housing advisors who provide personalized financial and credit guidance.
Support to build strong credit and budgeting skills.
Assistance in identifying and qualifying for homebuyer grants.
Guidance to understand the mortgage process and make informed financial decisions.
Opportunities to learn directly from industry professionals, including realtors, lenders, home inspectors, insurance agents, WHEDA, Habitat for Humanity, and more.
