Cindy Retzack is the Senior Housing Specialist at La Casa de Esperanza, managing La Casa Village I & II—affordable senior housing communities in Waukesha. Since joining La Casa in 2001, she has overseen day-to-day operations, tenant compliance, and staff, ensuring both properties meet federal, state, and local housing regulations. La CasaVillage I also hosts the city’s only senior dining site, in partnership with the ADRC of Waukesha County.

Cindy brings more than 35 years of experience in apartment management and is highly knowledgeable in HUD and WHEDA program requirements. Her role includes processing tenant paperwork, maintaining regulatory compliance, and fostering a safe, supportive environment for residents.

She has a long history of community service, volunteering with La Casa’s Boy Scout troop,VITA tax program, and special events. Cindy also dedicated over a decade to Girl Scouts inleadership roles and was twice honored with her family for their contributions to the program.

Cindy holds multiple professional certifications through the National Center for Housing Management, including Certified Occupancy Specialist (COS), Senior Housing Specialist, and Certified Manager of Maintenance. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband of over 42 years, her children, grandchildren, and pets.
