The Weatherization Process. What is next?<\/h3>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

  1. Application Review<\/b>\u00a0\u2013 Your application will be reviewed and processed.<\/li>
  2. Waiting List Placement<\/b>\u00a0\u2013 Applications are placed on a waiting list for Weatherization services.<\/li>
  3. Pre-Inspection<\/b>\u00a0\u2013 You may receive a pre-inspection to determine if an energy audit can be scheduled.<\/li>
  4. Energy Audit Scheduling<\/b>\u00a0\u2013 You will be contacted to schedule an Energy Audit of your residence. This inspection typically takes\u00a01\u20132 hours<\/b>. The auditor will need access to all areas of the dwelling, including the attic and basement.\u00a0An adult must be present<\/b>\u00a0during the audit.<\/li>
  5. Audit Analysis<\/b>\u00a0\u2013 Results from the Energy Audit are entered into the\u00a0National Energy Audit Tool (NEAT)<\/b>\u00a0to determine which Weatherization energy-saving measures can be performed.<\/li>
  6. Eligibility Notification<\/b>\u00a0\u2013 If your property does not qualify, a\u00a0Deferral or Denial letter<\/b>\u00a0will be mailed.<\/li>
  7. Work Agreement<\/b>\u00a0\u2013 If eligible, you will receive a detailed Work Agreement outlining the Weatherization measures for your home.<\/li>
  8. Work Order Processing<\/b>\u00a0\u2013 After signed paperwork is returned, your file is sent to the Production Department to issue work orders to our subcontractors.<\/li>
  9. Weatherization Improvements<\/b>\u00a0\u2013 You will be contacted to schedule appointments for the installation of energy-saving measures.<\/li>
  10. Final Inspection<\/b>\u00a0\u2013 A final inspection is conducted with the homeowner to verify that all measures have been completed correctly according to program specifications. Some dwellings may receive an\u00a0additional quality control inspection<\/b>\u00a0after project completion.<\/li><\/ol>

    La Casa de Esperanza\u2019s Weatherization Program is\u00a0completely free<\/b>\u00a0for low-income homeowners and renters in\u00a0Jefferson, Waukesha, and Milwaukee Counties<\/b>. While typical households spend 3.5% of annual income on energy, low-income households often spend nearly 14%.<\/p>

    Those interested in La Casa\u2019s Weatherization Program must first apply for the\u00a0Wisconsin Home Energy Assistance Program<\/a>\u00a0(WHEAP). In partnership with the Wisconsin DEHCR, this program includes a variety of energy-saving services, such as:<\/p>
