Kitchen Worker
Primary Function:
Responsible for preparing and serving food and keeping a clean kitchen.
Primary Duties:
- Assist with food preparation
- Monitor food and beverage items for quality and freshness
- Set-up the food carts
- Stock, arrange and prepare food and beverages
- Set-up, serve, and clean-up for all meals
- Maintain clean, sanitary, and orderly kitchen and cafeteria areas
- Attend meetings as required
- Follow all duties of a mandated reporter
- Perform other related duties, as assigned
Required Qualifications:
- HSD/GED required.
- Minimum 1-year food service experience
- Ability to lift 30 pounds regularly
- Good communication and writing skills
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
- Able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends depending on the needs of the program needs.
- Transportation, valid Wisconsin driver’s license, state minimum auto insurance, and must meet La Casa de Esperanza’s driving standards
- Must successfully complete and pass all background checks.
