Workforce Development

Workforce Development provides assistance to individuals in securing adequate employment to maintain their families. Services include career counseling, English as a Second Language instruction, remedial education, skills assessment, interviewing and application assistance, and job shadowing. Eligible applicants are assisted in the application and interviewing process and case managed for at least six months following placement to monitor outcomes.

A youth component of the Employment and Training Program is well integrated into our Children, Family and Youth Services. We provide youth with exposure to many types of careers. We refer diagnostic tests to Waukesha County Technical College to identify their possible interests and assist in placement in part- time or short- term work opportunities.
