Col. Agustin A. and Gloria A. Ramirez Multicultural Community Room at La Casa de Esperanza
A day of remembrance & celebration
"Mexicans undaunted by death have no qualms about getting up close and personal with death, chasing after it, mocking it, courting it, embracing it as their favorite plaything and their most lasting love"
Octavio Paz, writer
To Mexicans, Día de los Muertos represents something more than just remembering their loved ones no longer with them. It is an opportunity to celebrate life. La Casa de Esperanza is proud to offer a glimpse of this special Mexican tradition through song & dance, altar de muertos and a bountiful buffet, featuring traditional dishes such as tamales, pan de muerto (bread of the dead), mole poblano, churros and calaveritas de azúcar (sugar skulls).
