Ailec González – Director of Finance

Ailec González is the Director of Finance for La Casa de Esperanza. With nine years of experience in the nonprofit sector and 16 years of accounting experience, Ailec’s primary responsibility as Director of Finance is the overall financial and administrative management of $23 million annual budget of the organization. 

Ailec is a firm believer in giving back to the community that has given her so much opportunity as an immigrant. She volunteered on the Waukesha School District’s Community Budget Advisory Task Force where she used her budgeting and accounting skills to assist with the preparation of the District’s budget and made recommendations regarding budget cuts. Ailec also assisted Centro Legal of Milwaukee with the design of an accounting system, the development of operational procedures, and the preparation of annual budgets for the nonprofit organization. She also functions as Treasurer of La Casa’s LULAC council.

Ailec began her career in Cuba, the country of her birth and college education. She attained a Bachelor of Science in Economics at the University of Matanzas (Cuba), and a Master’s in Business Administration at the Keller Graduate School of Management at DeVry University (USA). Recently Ms. Gonzalez was approved by the Wisconsin Accounting Examining Board as a CPA candidate. She plans to obtain the license during 2011. She resides in Waukesha with her son Rini, and mother, Nancy.
