Assets & Opportunities Network

Financial Advocates

The national Assets & Opportunity Network is a movement-oriented group of advocates, practitioners, policymakers and others working to expand the reach and deepen the impact of asset-based strategies. Network members are on the frontlines of advocacy, coalition-building and service delivery.

As a Lead Local Agency for the Network, La Casa de Esperanza has begun formation of the Financial Stability & Asset Building Partnership of SE Wisconsin.

The Partnership is an emerging collaboration of nonprofit agencies, financial institutions, businesses, and public entities committed to helping hard working individuals and families move from financial instability/poverty to financial stability and sustained self-sufficiency. This is accomplished through asset building strategies such as access to affordable banking services; financial planning, education and coaching; credit and debt counseling; free tax preparation; access to public benefits; microenterprise development; Individual Development Accounts; and home ownership and foreclosure prevention resources. Join us as we help individuals and families attain and sustain financial stability and in turn strengthen our local economies.
